WHO IS EMILY RAULT?
Born into a family of musicians on the Canadian Prairies, Emily Rault cut her teeth in the music industry at a very young age. Growing up with an eclectic taste for music, Rault found influence in a vast array of genres and developed a deep musical knowledge. From soul, folk, jazz, gospel, pop, punk, and R&B, Rault draws her inspirations, adding something unique and fresh to produce a sound that is entirely her own. An electrically charged performer with a mesmerizing stage presence and a powerhouse voice, Emily Rault is not one to be missed.
At 18, Emily began touring across North America and into Europe with her brother Michael Rault, as a percussionist and vocalist. At 20, she formed the soul revival group The Fortrelles, acting as band leader and lead vocalist. By 22, Emily shifted her focus towards her own songwriting, releasing her first EP Getting Burned in 2015, then immediately relocated to Sweden to hone her abilities as an entertainer at Melt Cabaret, in the heart of Stockholm.
In 2017, Rault flew to New York City to co-write and record a single entitled See The Light with the founder of Dala Records, Billy Aukstik. Later that same year, Emily joined the international lineup of the German band The Sazerac Swingers and was featured as a lead vocalist on the Double LP Put The Jazz Back In Jazz! released in 2018. Emily toured with the group profusely throughout mainland Europe, including numerous residencies at the most famous jazz club in Europe, Le Caveau de la Huchette, in Paris, France.
Dealing creatively with the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, Emily recorded remotely from Canada for the upcoming Sazerac Swingers album, which will feature the critically acclaimed single Parisian Boy.
Emily Rault is currently in the writing stages of her first full-length album, which will include her latest single, I’ve Got None.
